1. Back End Building (a.k.a. OliloOS)
OliloOS continues to power ahead behind the scenes.

Less duct tape. More proper engineering. That is the goal.
2. Carrier Wrestling and Pricing Sorcery
We have been playing carrier chess this week.Specifically, how do we make Openreach not more expensive than the others?
Good news. We have negotiated a new deal. Openreach plans should be priced at parity with our other FTTP networks.
We are finalising legal bits now (you would be amazed how many pages it takes to say we would like a better price).
Once done, no more customer FAQ headaches about "why is Openreach more?"
Parity across the board. Job done.
3. Order Journey Tweaks and Tinker Time
The order journey got another round of love this week.

4. IP Range Cleaning (for our Production IPs, no pressure)
We have been deep cleaning our production IP ranges this week.

Why it matters.
Dirty IP ranges lead to customers being blocked from services, unhappy nerds, and unhappy us.
We want clean, reputable, accurate IP space out of the gate. And we are nearly there.
5. Monitoring Systems (The "We Know It Is Broken Before You Do" Project)
Progress continues on our internal monitoring stack.

Big picture. We want end to end visibility, not just "our core network looks fine."
Customer agent to local network to transit to internet to metrics to us.
Soon we will know the moment something wobbles, before you do.
6. Secret Sauce and Fun Stuff
Behind the scenes we have also been:- Plotting new geeky perks
- Designing some cheeky new Olilo merch concepts
- Prototyping onboarding mini games (yes, for broadband, why not)
- Working on public dashboards to show transparency live (remember, we show you where your money goes)
Wins of the Week
- OliloOS remains on schedule (rare and beautiful)
- Openreach pricing parity incoming
- Order journey now smoother than ever
- Monitoring stack starting to hum
- Production IP range cleaning nearly complete
- Community feedback continues to be
WTF Moments
- Watching IP cleaning chew up more hours than expected
- Carrier rep asked if we "really needed IPv6 ready from day one," do you even know who you are talking to
- Trying to explain BGP sessions to a legal team, not recommended
- Realising just how many corner cases there are in UK address matching
Next Week’s Plan
Coming up:- Finalising and signing the Openreach contract addendum
- More OliloOS CRM and support workflows
- Deeper monitoring stack work, more metrics, more visuals
- Pushing next batch of order journey improvements live
- Wrapping IP range cleaning and publishing final geofeeds
- Tinkering on new Vanguard community tools
- Brewing even more evil fun ideas for launch
Why Share All This
Because nobody talks about this stuff publicly.ISPs love to pretend it is all magic and marketing. It is not. It is a messy stack of engineering, legal battles, platform dev, and caffeine fuelled nights.
We are doing this in the open, and bringing you all along for the ride.
So if you are:
- building an ISP
- running your own WISP or alt net
- deep in broadband tech
- just here for the geeky chaos
Ask us anything. We will answer what we can (and plead the fifth where we must).
