Olilo Weekly Round-Up - 16th Aug 2025

  • Thread Author
Here’s what’s gone down while you were busy scrolling on TiKTok:

- First customers are on DHCP - no PPPoE, no weird MTU issues. You plug in, it works. Shocking, I know.
- LONAP peering is live - means fewer hops, faster routes, and less crying about ping times in Discord.
- LINX LON1 & LON2 peering is booked - yes, we’ll soon be in more places to make that ping even better.
- GTT Transit is being installed next week - because "no redundancy" isn’t an option.
- CityFibre Customers DHCP migration planning started - expect an action plan Monday. If you’re on CityFibre and still using PPPoE… enjoy your last weekend in the dark ages.
- Portal work is ongoing - yes, coding takes time. No, we can’t just "slap ChatGPT (or as we call him Liam) on it".
- Phase Two website is almost live - looks good, loads fast, and doesn’t use Comic Sans.

Next week? More peering, more transit, and the start of the the future.
